The Adventure Called Life Day 282...return home...

Today we said goodbye to the campers of the Junior High session of Camp Michindoh. I wish that we had more time. Part of me feels like I didn’t get to connect with the kids as much as I wanted to. It is an interesting paradox, being a worship leader, but not a counselor. I don’t want to over step the counselor’s duty and their relationships with the kids. I think they did a great job this week. They lead cabin devotionals and apparently they had a lot of questions about worship and what the songs meant. That made me really excited that they were getting into the songs so much that they wanted to know what they actually meant. That is an answer to prayer.
When we get back to Spring Arbor, I need to run by the office and see Liz for some admissions stuff. Then Zachariah and I are going to spend the rest of the day together. I am super excited to see him. We are sort of celebrating our third month together. He is amazing, and I am so blessed by him everyday. Praise the Lord!
Lord,
Thank you for another camp. Thank you that we have made it this far. Keep preparing us for this upcoming week. We need you. We need your grace, your love, your mercy. We love you!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

The Adventure Called Life Day 281...relax down the waterslide...

Today is our last full day here at Michindoh...its kind of sad, but im excited to go home on saturday...we are headng to the race track. Tim Brodd, the racecar driver we used to race with back in the early 2000's. I am super excited for that. I am owe so much to my leadership development to the Brodd racing team.

I am going to spend the day with Zachariah to celebrate our 3 month anniversary. I am excited to for that too.

But I am still here at Michindoh. I need to focus here.

Lord,
Allow me to focus completely on these kids, and on you. May I always do things selflessly. I love you. I am in awe of you.
In Jesus' name
Amen

The Adventure Called Life Day 280...renew...

Happy Three Month Anniversary to my wonderful, handsome boyfriend Zachariah! I am so blessed by him. He is an amazing man of God. I really really like him. I also really really love him too.

Being away from him is hard, but its made me realize how fortunate I am to have him. I am amazed all the time that he has chosen me among all the fair maidens in the world. it just baffles me sometimes.

The Lord has been renewing and recharging my mind this week. I am very excited to go on the mission's trip next week. I am also a little scared. I got stung by a bee yesterday and I have other bug bites that have flared up into allergic reactions. So far this summer the bugs are winning. Pray that they don't bother me in Indy. I need to be at full strength next week :)

The Adventure Called Life Day 279...recharged...

This day has been so relaxing. In the morning and afternoon I hung out with the kids, but right now we are just hanging out. I must have gone down the water slide with Brittany at least a dozen times, that was tiring. Its good that we didn't go out to Silos with the rest of camp. I needed this break. Hopefully Zachariah will call after his shift and I can remember what I wanted to talk about...

The Adventure Called Life Day 278...refresh...

This place is so refreshing. Praise the Lord! I am so grateful for this week of relaxation. We are still working or ah, PLAYING hard :) but we also get time to relax, like now for instance. I am going to go read my Bible. Such an awesome day.

The Adventure Called Life Day 277...michindoh...

Spring Arbor University bought camp Michindoh as of June 1st last year. Its weird to be going to a place that "we own". weird. But oh so welcome. We are not counselors this week, we are just the worship band and a group of people who can help out with activities and such. Its a ton of fun to play music then just hang out with kids all day. so cool.

this week my posts will be again rather short. I plan on taking naps and digging into the word so I can survive our missions week next week! continue to pray for us. its greatly appreciated!
