The Adventure Called Life Day 288...end of a mission...

We had a wonderful ending ceremony. After our "concert" that really wasn't a concert, more of like an extended worship service, but whatever Greg, he loved on all the kids. It was so touching. He had something to say about everyone of the kids on the trip. It was amazing and inspiring for my ministry someday. I pray that I can learn something significant about the kids in my youth group and learn from them as well as teach them.

The Adventure Called Life Day 287...its HOT...

Welcome to the hottest day of the year so far folks! This is a FULL day of work for the crew and I'm excited to see how far we can get on our building! Our ramp is a little over 50 ft long, and I think with our crew's work ethic we can do it in the next two days!

I feel better today. We have a concert tomorrow night. I'm nervous to sing. I think I will be okay.

The Adventure Called Life Day 286...SAWS...

servants at work is an organization that works for people who are disabled and need ramps and special stairs for their homes. They are retired, for the most part, and volunteers who work to better and serve their community. My pod, along with Dave's left Third Phase today, and we began framing our ramp!

I am sick. But again, the Lord will prevail!

The Adventure Called Life Day 285...landscape specialist...

According to our site coordinator, I am now the landscape specialist of Third Phase...too funny!

We are DOING WORK! My Pod and Dave's pod have spent two whole days scraping the cement front steps of the house with garden hand tools. I am so impressed with their work ethic!

The Adventure Called Life Day 284...mission trip...

Today we are going to a job site called Third Phase in Indianapolis. Its a half way house. I am excited to DO WORk.

I do feel like crap still. But God will prevail!

The Adventure Called Life Day 283...no right turns please...

Today I went to Owosso Speedway with my family. It was a lot of fun, except the part when Troy made a right turn instead of a left coming out of turn four going along the front stretch. He had been racing like a mad man for the first couple of laps. It was crazy to see really. At first I was excited to see him race so hard, but then I realized that it could cause trouble. BIG trouble. and it did cause trouble unfortunately. He drove so aggresively that he cut off Don in the heat race! The aggressive move sent Troy hurtling into the front stretch wall, and then because he lost steering, he was sent flying into the outside wall of turn one. Awful scene.

My heart stopped, my hand flew to my mouth, choking back tears. I wanted to cry. It was an awful sight. I wish I could have stopped it. I wish I could have gone back in time and told Troy that he wasn't clear of Donny. ugh.

Then it proceeded to pour, while I was still outside. So drenched I ran back into the trailer to wait out the sudden thunder shower. It was a surreal day. I have a minor throat irritation and sinus pressure. I am going to pick up some Zicam so I don't get sick, just in case...

Timmy got out there for qualifying and it was beautiful. There is no other sound in the world as a Tech West Race Car...pure awesomeness...After the wreck, he decided that his head was not in it anymore so He didn't continue to race. My heart sunk. I wasn't happy. But I understood.
